Taking the family to the erie zoo is a fun and educateding activity. They have over 500 animals spread over 15 acres. The Erie zoo does not just have animals they also have 100's of plants and flowers. Because of the many plants at erie zoo they have added to there name the Zoological Park and Botanical garden of Northwestern Pennsylvania.

As an Erie Zoological Society volunteer you will receive many rewarding benefits:

To qualify you must:

• Have a love for plants and animals and support the society’s mission.
• Complete a volunteer interview and be able to pass a background check. (there is a $20.00 fee for the background check)
• Complete a mandatory volunteer orientation.
• Commit to completing at least 40 hours of a volunteer assignment.
• Agree to giving at least 24 hours notice if unable to complete a scheduled assignment.
