Still in operation, Presque LightHouse is located on
this sand spit penninsula. Jutting out so far into Lake
Erie, the Presque LightHouse. Presque Isle State Park is much more than just a beautiful lighthouse. There are
several trails and beaches. Enjoy the park by foot or
by boat.
Erie Land Light
The Erie Land Light was originally known as the Presque
Isle Light Station. Intermittently, the lighthouse came
to be known as Erie Light Station in 1870, when plans
for the Presque
Isle Station on the northern side of the Presque Isle
peninsula were underway. Now Erie Land Light is located
in Dunn Park and restored to its original form, complete
with a newer lantern room.
